Do I need good credit to apply?

No, and that's the point. This grant was specifically designed for business owners who are still building their credit profile. Bad credit, no credit, or a history of rejections will not disqualify you. We evaluate applicants based on their goals, their commitment, and their business — not their credit score.

How is the winner selected?

After reviewing applications, our team invites qualified applicants to a short interview. The winner is selected based on financial need, business readiness, and fit for the program. We're looking for a business owner who is serious, coachable, and ready to do the work to build a fundable business.

What happens if I'm not selected as the winner?

Not winning the grant doesn't mean you're out of options. After your interview, our team may present you with an opportunity to work with a Smart Credit Certified Consultant to personalize a funding plan for your business. Many applicants who don't win the grant still walk away with a clear roadmap and a path forward.

What is included in the Premium Business Program?

The Premium Business Program includes full access to the Business Credit Accelerator Course, a private 1-hour strategy session with a senior consultant, live Q&A access, and 6 months of private 1-on-1 check-ins with a senior consultant. It is a comprehensive, hands-on program designed to take your business from credit-invisible to fully fundable.

How long does the application process take?

The application itself takes about 5 minutes to complete. After submission, our team reviews applications on a rolling basis and reaches out to selected applicants to schedule an interview within a few business days. The full process from application to winner announcement typically takes 1–2 weeks depending on the volume of applicants.

Can I apply if my business is a sole proprietorship?

We encourage all business owners to apply regardless of their current business structure. However, to be eligible for the grant and to get the most out of the Premium Business Program, having a registered business entity such as an LLC is strongly recommended. If you're currently operating as a sole proprietor, our team can discuss the best next steps for your situation during the interview.
